Questions
Good to know
How to choose between BOOST, FLOW and RESTORE, how to use your soak, and what to expect, before your first evening.
What is a herbal foot soak?+
A herbal foot soak is an evening ritual with roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine: whole dried herbs are steeped in hot water, then you soak your feet for fifteen to twenty minutes. The warmth, steam and quiet are the point, a gentle way to mark the end of the day. WOOSA makes three, each a blend of whole dried herbs for a different kind of tired.
Which WOOSA foot soak is right for me?+
Choose by how the day leaves you. BOOST 补 is for low energy and feeling run-down. FLOW 通 is for tension, tightness, or a mind that won't wind down. RESTORE 养 is for tired or fatigued-looking skin. All three are $49 for twelve sachets, and many people keep more than one and choose by the evening.
What's in a WOOSA foot soak?+
Whole dried herbs, nothing powdered or synthetic, drawn from traditional Chinese preparation. Each ritual has its own blend, for example BOOST uses codonopsis, astragalus and angelica. The full ingredient list is on every product page.
How do I use a WOOSA foot soak?+
Place one sealed sachet in a foot basin, pour over boiling water and steep for five to eight minutes, then add warm water to 38 to 42°C. Soak for fifteen to twenty minutes, dry your feet, and put on socks. Best in the evening, at least an hour before bed, three to four times a week.
How much does it cost, and how many soaks are in a pack?+
Each pack is $49 AUD and holds twelve single-use sachets (net 360g), roughly three to four weeks at three soaks a week. Standard shipping within Australia is $10, and free on orders over $100.
Do you ship across Australia?+
Yes, we ship Australia-wide. Standard shipping is $10, free on orders over $100. Full timeframes are on the Shipping page.
How long should I soak?+
Fifteen to twenty minutes. Long enough to matter, short enough to keep.
Does it need to be every night?+
No. We'd recommend at least three evenings a week. Some people use it daily.
Why 38 to 42°C?+
Warm enough to relax the body, not warm enough to shock it. You should feel calm, not flushed.
Why wait after eating?+
Digestion draws its own circulation. Most people find waiting a little while after a meal more comfortable, and soaking on a completely empty stomach can feel light-headed for some. There's no strict rule, just what feels right for you.
How long before bed?+
We recommend at least an hour before bed, so your body has time to settle before sleep.
Is it safe during pregnancy?+
RESTORE is not recommended during pregnancy. BOOST and FLOW have no pregnancy caution. Check each product page for full details.
Is it safe during menstruation?+
BOOST is not recommended during menstruation. FLOW and RESTORE have no menstruation caution. Check each product page for full details.
Does WOOSA treat any conditions?+
No. WOOSA is made for external use only, a ritual of warmth, scent, and a moment of quiet. It isn't intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent anything. The pause is the point.
Is it suitable after giving birth?+
Foot soaking has long been part of traditional Chinese care after birth, and RESTORE is the formula we suggest for this time. We recommend beginning once your doctor or midwife has cleared you to resume warm baths. If you are breastfeeding or have any health concerns, please speak with your GP before use.
